Iole Alessandrini: To the North Pole and Back: Learning amidst Ice, Sky, and Calving Glaciers

Seattle Perugia Sister City Association and Casa Italiana were delighted to collaborate on Italian Stories: a free public talk by Iole Alessandrini! Renowned for her groundbreaking Laser Plane Photography, Alessandrini, an Italian American artist, regaled us with exciting stories and breathtaking images of the Svalbard Archipelago, where she journeyed in late 2023. This pivotal Arctic location plays a crucial role in the well-being of our global ecosystem.

There was a raffle held at the event, creating the unique opportunity for a lucky winner to walk away with a piece of Alessandrini's art from the Migration exhibition at Palazzo Della Penna in Perugia, Italy.
